This is my delicious homemade cajun spice mix, perfect for roasted veggies, potatoes, fish and meat. Just sprinkle a couple of teaspoons before cooking and you have a flavour packed meal right there.
This recipe mix is really easy to make and can be stored in an air tight container or jar for months. Personally, I love this spice mix recipe on salmon or roasted potatoes, just look at those roasted tatties (potatoes) below. I usually sprinkle a teaspoon of the mix per person, for example, if I'm cooking two salmon fillets I'll use two teaspoons.
Total Prep and Cooking Time: 5 minutes
1.5 tsp of salt
1 tsp of dried thyme
1 tsp of dried oregano
1 tbsp of paprika
1 tsp of smoked paprika
2 tsp of garlic granules/powder
1 tsp of onion granules/powder
1 tsp of cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp of sugar
1 tsp of pepper
1/4 tsp of cumin
1/4 tsp of ground coriander
Combine all ingredients in a jar or container and mix well. That's it - sprinkle and enjoy!
