Easy Vegan Pizza Sauce


Total Prep and Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Equipment Needed: Hob and blender/processor (I used a nutribullet style blender)


I absolutely love this sauce. It is ridiculously easy and quick to make and goes perfectly as a pizza or pasta sauce.


The art of making this recipe quick and easy without compromising on the flavour, is blending all the ingredients beforehand. It saves huge amount of time and gives us the short cut we need, especially after a busy day. This recipe doesn't have any scary ingredients and contains only natural goodness.


A good pizza sauce is really easy to make and should never be overloaded with ingredients. If you have any sauce leftover, you can either freeze for a lazy day or make extra for lunch the next day.





Tomato Sauce for 4 Pizzas:

  • 1 x 400g tin of tomatoes

  • 1 tbsp of tomato puree

  • 1 garlic cloves

  • 1 tbsp of olive oil

  • 1 small red onion

  • 1/2 tsp of dried oregano

  • 1/2 tsp of dried basil

  • 1/2 tsp of salt

  • 1/2 tsp of pepper

Method:


1. Add tinned tomatoes, salt, pepper, tomato puree, garlic, olive oil, onion, oregano and basil to your blender.


2. Blend and then put the sauce in a pan with a lid, and cook on a low heat. It may spit a bit so the lid is important!


3. Leave your sauce to cook for around 15 minutes, stirring often.


4. Serve on pizza, pasta or anything else you fancy!
